Congratulations to Youth Radio Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA – The Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations honors Youth Radio Los Angeles with the Yvonne B. Burke Courage Award at a luncheon on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Luminarias in Monterey Park, California.

For the past 36 years, the Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations and County Board of Supervisors has honored outstanding individuals and companies that have demonstrated leadership in making the county a better and more harmonious place for all to live and work. The 2008 awards event is titled "Building Partnerships for Solutions."

Other honorees include Homegirl Café, California African American Museum, Juvenile Justice Task Force in the San Fernando Valley, Hispanic Outreach Taskforce in southeast L.A. cities, and Cal Arts Community Arts Partnership.
