Congratulations to Youth Radio/Youth Media International for winning this year’s Peabody Award. They were given the award for Trafficked, their two-part investigative series that explores the sex trade of minors in Oakland largely through first-hand accounts of the victims.

The George Foster Peabody Awards recognizes distinguished achievement and meritorious public service by TV and radio stations, networks, producing organizations, individuals, and the World Wide Web. The Awards program, established in 1940, is the oldest and most prestigious honor in electronic media.
