How Gen Y and Technology are Changing History

Jared Cohen is a Member of Secretary Clinton's Policy Planning Staff. He focuses on counter-terrorism, counter-radicalization, technology and innovation, the Middle East, Youth issues, and Public Diplomacy.

He also chairs the Policy Planning Staff Working Group on 21st century statecraft. At the recent L2's Generation Next Forum (L2 dissects the characteristics, influence, and brand affinities of tomorrow's affluent consumers), he discussed how Gen Y (born 1982-2000) and technology are changing history. The largest gathering of prestige marketers in North America, L2 forums combine education and entertainment to inspire and enlighten.

Jared Cohen received his B.A. from Stanford University and his M.Phil in International Relations from Oxford University, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar. He is also the author of several books, including A Young American's Travels Among the Youth of the Middle East.
