Remixing the Art of Social Change" was the first of its kind teach-in dedicated to building capacity with hands on workshops designed not just to look at hip-hop as an esthetic, but at the organizations that develop, track, measure and deliver curriculum, information, develop campaigns, organize rallies etc.
This teach-in is for organizations ready to move to the next stage of their development.
More than 72 hip-hop nonprofits, foundations, government agencies, educators, and entrepreneurs from throughout the state were invited with the express intention of "Remixing the Art of Social Change" by outlining the tools and resources necessary to build sustainable field of organization.
This is especially important as organizations continue to recruit and retain young men and women of various ethnicities for the non-profit sector. A two day teach-in dedicated to capacity building for hip-hop non-profits, non profits using hip-hop and non profits that self identify as working with the hip-hop generation.
