We focus on technology. Whether the divides are social, economic, political or cultural, it is often technology that can help overcome
these divides. Since our inception in 1998, more than $45 million has been invested in overcoming community-building barriers.
By providing access to an ecosystem of broadband technology, training and education programs for workforce development, asset building, microenterprise and small business assistance we hope to improve the economic opportunity of low-income, disadvantaged individuals.
Through the collaborative production and distribution of relevant, digital content and services using broadband technology, we hope to improve the civic engagement and participation of individuals in vulnerable communities on health, economic development and education issues.
We put powerful, emerging technologies, knowledge and expertise into the hands of community networks and leaders and work with them to create tailored programs for their communities. We partner with foundations and individual donors and provide grants to subsidize the costs.
