Increasing Civic Reach

"Nonprofits need deep civic roots to thrive." So says Paul Vandeventer in a recent SSIR article. The visibility, credibility, and genuine commitment of board members with civic reach can confer indisputable local authenticity on nonprofits, even when the nonprofit is a private grantmaking foundation.
