Access Keys

Most browsers support jumping to specific links by typing keys defined on the website. On Windows, you can press ALT + an access key; on Macintosh, you can press Control + an access key.

There is debate about the utility of accesskeys as they are currently implemented and intepreted by browsers and screen readers. The proposed WCAG 2.0 guidelines may clarify the need for accesskeys in the future.
