2008 is the Year of the....

Eugene Chan

2008 will be a great year. One thing on my plate will be to expand my blogging—in frequency, quality, and depth.

I’ll just end with Beth Kanter’s blogging advice rings true:

I’ll start off the advice with try to get into the habit of writing regularly. Write about what interests you. Link to other bloggers. Leave comments and connect.

Because of her, I made a donation to Global Giving in support of The Sharing Foundation.

I’m also the happy owner of a shiny new Mac. That plus VMware Fusion and MarsEdit has made me happy.

my google alerts and ego list failed me ..

Eugene,

Thank you so much! I got to this late and I am not sure why.

Have you registered this blog over at Technorati? That way you'll get indexed and if you point to people who follow their ego feeds, they'll find you.

Listening is a big part of blogging. What will you be doing to listen in 2008?

I'm working on some hands-on workshop materials on these techniques. You are probably doing this already - so curious what else you'd add here?

Why have people register and be verified to make a comment? Are you concerned with spam?

If possible, can you let people comment with out having go through a registration process first. See what happens and if you get a lot of spam or inappropriate comments switch back to the registration requirement. It's a barrier to commenting and comments are the lifeblood of blogging.
