Speaker: Congresswoman Donna Edwards, former Executive Director of The Arca Foundation
Date/Time: March 19, 2011, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Following a question and answer period with the Congresswoman, the event co-sponsors will facilitate a discussion that surfaces examples of dynamic technology and media-related investments, and identifies resources and strategies for successful grantmaking in this realm.
This event is co-sponsored by ZeroDivide, the Media Democracy Fund, the Case Foundation, and Grantmakers in Film and Electronic Media.
Ms. Edwards represents Maryland's 4th congressional district, serving on The Hill since a special election in 2008. From 2000 to 2008, she was the Executive Director of The Arca Foundation, providing bold leadership in support of a robust and independent media landscape, including public-interest oriented media and technology policies.
Limited seating is available and is restricted to foundation representatives. This event immediately follows a conference plenary session, in which Moira Gunn, host of National Public Radio’s “Tech Nation,” will interview Ms. Edwards.
