
Angel Gomez is Manager, Programming and Marketing. NBC Universal Global Networks Latin America and Brazil. Currently, he is supporting NBC Universal’s mandate to grow its business internationally. Angel is a dedicated advocate of underserved communities and strongly promotes sharing information from the private sector in order to benefit non-profits. His affiliations involve work with such groups as Familia Unida Living with Multiple Sclerosis, the California Association for Bilingual Education and mentoring at risk youth.
Angel is an alumnus of the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television. At USC, he earned a BA in Cinema-Television Production, with Honors, was awarded the Dr. John R. Hubbard Award, which is presented to the University’s most outstanding Mexican-American student and studied at the Center for International Studies in Madrid, while on a semester abroad. Mr. Gomez currently resides in Los Angeles.
I’d like to explore how non-profit organizations can be helped through improved implementation of information sharing and technology. I’d like to do my part in helping organizations that advocate on behalf of underserved communities become more efficient.
I feel that the ZeroDivide Fellowship will be a great way to build points of contacts outside of my traditional social networks. In particular, I’m interested in learning more about the convergence between the Private and Public sectors because I’ve always been fascinated by Government.
