The Back Story

The Institute of Popular Education of Southern California (IDEPSCA) is a non-profit community-based educational organization. The organization’s mission is to create a more humane and democratic society by responding to the needs and problems of disenfranchised people. Through leadership development and educational programs, IDEPSCA organizes and educates low-income Latina and Latino members toward solving problems in their communities.

Now in their second year with the Digital Storytelling Institute, IDEPSCA is committed to the continued production and utilization of digital stories. During the workshop, the organization outlined a comprehensive and ambitious distribution strategy for their stories and their likelihood of success is high.
