TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is where the world’s leading thinkers and doers gather to share ideas worth spreading. TEDActive, a simulcast experience, takes place in Palm Springs. TEDx brings the TED experience to local communities.

TEDActive is designed for the curious, creative, passionate -- for those who want to go beyond just watching TEDTalks to sharing experiences and participating in projects that might impact the world beyond. TEDActive provides a platform for energetic people to self-organize groups, to connect with each other and to start rewarding conversations around common interests. It's a model that, in 2008 and 2009, generated powerful friendships and important collaborations that are still continuing today.

At TEDActive, you'll meet people who have made heroic efforts to foster TED's mission of spreading ideas big enough to change the world. Included in the mix will be some of TEDTalks' most prolific volunteer translators, independent TEDx event organizers, top TED.com commenters and rockstar TED Prize wish contributors.
