Youth Radio Peabody Award Youth Radio Peabody Award

The staff at ZeroDivide wants to send a huge “shout out” and congratulate Youth Radio/Youth Media International for winning this year’s Peabody Award.  They were given the award for Trafficked, their two-part investigative series that explores the sex trade of minors in Oakland largely through first-hand accounts of the victims.

The George Foster Peabody Awards recognizes distinguished achievement and meritorious public service by TV and radio stations, networks, producing organizations, individuals, and the World Wide Web.  The Awards program, established in 1940, is the oldest and most prestigious honor in electronic media.

Youth Radio/Youth Media International has been a general grantee of ZeroDivide since 2001 and a social enterprise grantee since 2007. Over these years, ZeroDivide has invested over $1.1 million in their work.

We’re so proud of their suceess. Keep it up!!
