I love the Internet! I like having access to volumes of information at my fingertips to be explored at any time of day or night. I came across a site that I thought was worth sharing - Imagining the Internet.
A project of Elon University/Pew Internet Project, Imagining the Internet Center's mission is to explore and provide insights into emerging network innovations, global development, dynamics, diffusion and governance. Its research holds a mirror to humanity's use of communications technologies, informs policy development, exposes potential futures and provides a historic record. It works to illuminate issues in order to serve the greater good, making its work public, free and open. They sponsor work that brings people together to share their visions for the future of communications and the future of the world.
Take a look at the site, it is a multi-section resource containing thousands of pages (6,000). It exposes future possibilities while simultaneously providing a peek back at the past.
Explore, take a survey and share your predictions for what you think would be the future of the Internet.
