Elite schools are always looking for more ways to spice up the application process and it looks like University of Chicago's business school is requiring MBA applicants to submit a powerpoint presentation as a part of their application (thanks to the link from Seth Godin's blog). Some elementary digital storytelling and youth media programs actually use powerpoint as a way to teach youth how to tell stories. It's interesting to see that UChicago is seeing powerpoint as a way to encourage creative thinking from its applicants. A medium can only be enhanced when filled with good content - what if all MBA students were required to go through a digital storytelling program before they ever get to make another powerpoint presentation?
