ZeroDivide grantee BAVC, is co-hosting VideoCamp SF, a two-day event on October 16 and 17, designed to train and grow the local online video community at a reasonable price.

The Best Practices in Online Video sessions, have an Advocate Track designed to train and develop people in using online video for cause-related purposes. Hosted by Melissa Rowley from http://causecast.org and experienced documentarian Jennifer Myronuk, with additional speakers to present case studies, the track will explore the best ways to promote your cause using web video from start to finish. During the Day 2 Practicum, groups formed within the Advocate Track will work together to create a video and post it on the web.  The cost to attend is $65, and also allows admission to the Moonlight Session, a community event at CELLspace with curated video sessions and keynote speeches.

And if you're completely new to online video, there's also a Newbie Track in which you can learn how to edit and post a simple video on a blog with friendly Newbie instructor Markus Sandy.

There is no A/V or computer equipment required to attend VideoCamp SF, but bringing laptops and cameras of all types is recommended if you have them!

Full details are at http://videocampsf.com, and you can mail videocampsf@gmail.com with any questions.
