Intern Associate - eHealth 

ZeroDivide’s work in the health field focuses on leveraging eHealth tools (electronic health resources and health care delivery tools) to decrease the persistent disparities in health outcomes for low-income communities, communities of color and other underserved groups. This work is done within the “Enrollment to Outcomes” framework for eHealth equity, a comprehensive structure for adoption at every point in the delivery of health services.

This is a part-time 6 months internship assignment.

Opportunity Summary:

This Intern Associate position will work closely in a team environment with the eHealth staff members.  As Intern Associate you will have opportunity to network with leaders and other professionals in the nonprofit and technology field. Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills; experience working with underserved communities; high engagement with social media, mobile technology and direct experience with adoption of ehealth tools.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support eHealth team in developing and implementing a range of technology adoption projects in execution of ZeroDivide’s eHealth Equity strategy implementation plan.

• Conduct research, policy and data analysis as directed, and related tasks support of eHealth project implementation.

• Assist with data collection and writing for project reports, surveys and assessments.

• Work effectively in a team environment with both technical and non‐technical staff.

• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:

• Experience using verbal and written communication skills to articulate and communicate information and ideas to varying audiences and in multiple styles and channels.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred. Graduate and undergraduate students will be considered.

• Strong business writing, verbal communications and presentation skills.

• Strong research skills and ability to consolidate/summarize for developing written communications.

• Pro-active, self-motivated individual; team player; and able to work in cross-functional team.

• Nonprofit Program Experience.

Compensation 

This is a paid internship. Compensation based on skills and experience.

Intern Associate - Technology Capacity Building Projects

ZeroDivide is a capacity building organization that works to transform underserved communities by leveraging technology to increase economic opportunity, civic engagement and healthy outcomes.

ZeroDivide is expanding our services to meet the growing need for technology solutions in the communities we serve. Along with that growth, we are expanding our internship program to expose interested and talented people to our work and to invite them to learn about our consulting and capacity building efforts.

Projects will range from helping to develop program innovations and researching solutions in our economic development and education sector to working with nonprofits to improve operational efficiency and program effectiveness through technology integration. Additionally, this program will expose the candidate to all aspects of ZeroDivide’s internal operations and management, and will work closely in a team environment with Senior Program Managers on technology capacity building projects to achieve program goals.

This is a part-time 6 month internship assignment.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, experience working with underserved communities and have a positive relationship with technology.  The candidate must have experience teaching/leading workshops and trainings and using multiple mediums to express ideas.  The ability to travel around CA to support training and workshop delivery is essential. Curriculum development and bilingual are a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with field/program research; data collection, analysis and problem solving.

• Support the development of webinars and associated collateral; and provide training at webinars.

• Provide curriculum development support for the Senior Program Managers and other professional staff and assist in the coordination of projects from conception (feasibility) through to implementation.

• Planning support (logistics) and on-site support for all convening events.

• Participate in our Program team meetings; support efforts to deepen our knowledge in this area; conduct research for blogs, white papers and other collateral. 

• Review and summarize program progress through consolidation of reports, updates, learnings and outcomes.

• Work effectively in a team environment with both technical and non‐technical staff.

• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external teams.

• Perform additional job related duties and tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred. Graduate and undergraduate students will be considered.

• Excellent business writing, verbal communications and presentation skills.

• Strong research skills and ability to consolidate/summarize for developing written communications.

• Pro-active, self-motivated individual; team player; and able to lead cross-functional work team

• Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management.

• Nonprofit Program Experience.
