Contractor - Social/Content Marketing Associate 

Opportunity Summary:

We are looking for a creative and motivated Social and Content Marketing Associate to deepen our online engagement to increase our overall brand awareness and expand the demand for our services. This is a great opportunity for someone with excellent writing skills, an eye for editorial development, finesse with various social media platforms and emerging tools, and a commitment to improving the opportunities, civic engagement and health of underserved communities. 

Additionally, the position will help manage our social media channels (currently including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn) while reinforcing the organization’s value proposition to an audience that includes both nonprofit organizations and our clients, which include foundations, government agencies at all levels and businesses. This position guides the development and implementation of an integrated social media strategy for the entire organization. 

This is a part-time, 3-4 days per week (max 32 hours) contractor position.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills as well as experience in developing and implementing social media programs. We’re looking for someone with an ability to develop compelling content and a commitment to improving communities through the inclusive use of technology.

Primary Responsibilities:

● Staying abreast of ZeroDivide’s project work and related conversations in the areas of technology, nonprofit capacity building and eHealth equity.

● Researching current trends in social media and making sure ZeroDivide is staying current.

● Writing content and creating appropriate images to optimize our social-media profiles.

● Researching and writing original blog articles, interviewing our partners and clients, and developing online updates for current client projects.

● Working with other staff to identify relevant content ideas and advising on how to optimize it for social media.

● Engaging and expanding conversations via social media channels; and since no work is complete without measuring its impact, tracking and analyzing online media content performance indicators and are commending strategies for improvement.

● Keeping our content fresh.

● Contributing to ZeroDivide’s marketing and business development efforts with writing, editing and other content creation.

● Helping to develop and provide training to all staff to bolster their collective and individual social media skills.

● Working effectively in a team environment with both technical and non‐technical staff;

● Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external teams.

● Performing additional job related duties and tasks as required.


Education & Experience: 

● Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing or communication (obtained or pursuing) preferred.

● Interest in social justice.

● Excellent writing and researching skills.

● Visual content development experience a plus (ZeroDivide uses Adobe CS for content development).

● Proactive, self-motivated individual; team player and able to lead cross-functional work.

● Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management.

Program Associate

The Program Associate (PA) reports to the Sr. Manager of Programs and provides administrative support to the Program Implementation Team. The PA coordinates multiple projects and works directly with the Sr. Manager and other Program Managers. As a ZeroDivide team member, the PA embraces the organization’s mission and values by exhibiting professionalism, competence, reliability, accountability, and enthusiasm.

The ideal candidate will:

• have demonstrated experience working closely with organizational leaders and managing internal workflow procedures and systems.

• have the ability to: anticipate and plan for upcoming issues, multitask and manage details of program implementation.

• be able to implement systems and processes to increase efficiencies and enhance overall workflow of the program team,

• have a working knowledge and fluency with database applications and other digital technology tools,

• have experience and passion for meeting the needs of underserved communities,

• be expected to demonstrate good judgment, grace and diplomacy in a fast paced environment.


Essential Functions

Work collaboratively with the Program Implementation Team and all related services to ensure success:

• Coordinate project processes, systems to track program implementation. Act as project manager to track all ZeroDivide projects and progress.

• Support the completion of project schedules and work plans.

• Manage, develop, implement, and document grants processes including generating grant agreements, routine correspondence and grant reports for Program Managers.

• Assist team with administration.

• Update department calendar, schedule meetings, prepare notes, and track action items.

• Arrange site visits, handle travel arrangements and prepare expense reports.

• Manage convening logistics including coordination of staff and external groups.

• Provide administrative support to the CFOO, including board committee preparation.

• Manage logistics and event planning.



• Strong organization and coordination skills

• Interest or experience in Project Management.

• Research and writing skills (utilizing both online and hard copy publications).

• High proficiency in and Microsoft Office, with the ability to create multimedia presentations.

• Overall knowledge of social media strategies.

• Ability to use discretion, sound judgment and to maintain strictest confidentiality when handling materials and information.

• Ability to establish positive working relationships with internal and external audiences (including sensitivity and competency in working with individuals and groups of diverse cultural, socioeconomic and lifestyles).



Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 3 - 4 years of relevant paid work experience.

Intern Associate - eHealth

ZeroDivide’s work in the health field focuses on leveraging eHealth tools (electronic health resources and health care delivery tools) to decrease the persistent disparities in health outcomes for low-income communities, communities of color and other underserved groups. This work is done within the “Enrollment to Outcomes” framework for eHealth equity, a comprehensive structure for adoption at every point in the delivery of health services.

This is a part-time 6 months internship assignment.

Opportunity Summary:

This Intern Associate position will work closely in a team environment with the eHealth staff members.  As Intern Associate you will have opportunity to network with leaders and other professionals in the nonprofit and technology field. • Support eHealth team in developing and implementing a range of technology adoption projects in execution of ZeroDivide’s eHealth Equity strategy implementation plan.

• Conduct research, policy and data analysis as directed, and related tasks support of eHealth project implementation.

• Assist with data collection and writing for project reports, surveys and assessments.

• Work effectively in a team environment with both technical and non‐technical staff.

• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external teams.


Education & Experience:

• Experience using verbal and written communication skills to articulate and communicate information and ideas to varying audiences and in multiple styles and channels.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred. Graduate and undergraduate students will be considered.

• Strong business writing, verbal communications and presentation skills.

• Strong research skills and ability to consolidate/summarize for developing written communications.

• Pro-active, self-motivated individual; team player; and able to work in cross-functional team.
